  • Do I need to see a doctor before I go to physical therapy?

No. Many insurances allow what is called “Direct Access” to physical therapy. We are highly trained to treat many conditions. Come in for an evaluation to discuss what is wrong and if and how physical therapy can help. We can easily help out by calling your doctor with our evaluation to help get a referral if you need one. If physical therapy is not right for you, we will point you in the direction you need to go!

  • Why should I come to Active Health Performance Therapy?

Active Health Performance Therapy is a small, privately owned, locally owned physical therapy clinic. David and Rebecca will spend one to one time with you, have access to a full fitness facility (The Fitness Factory) and have special interests in running, hockey, weight – lifting, soccer, tennis etc. that spill over into their love for physical therapy. Rebecca is a Board Certified Geriatric Specialist. All in all we have a lot to offer and we specialize in customer service.

  • What can I expect when I come to physical therapy?

You will be evaluated on the first day and the results of the evaluation will be written up and a plan will be determined. The plan will be based on the findings of the PT and on both your goals and the goals of the PT. The number of visits will be estimated and scheduled at that time. Please expect to start treatment on day one and wear comfortable clothing that you can move around in. Prepare to work hard and have fun!

  • How much does physical therapy cost/how much will I have to pay?

The out of pocket expense depends on individual insurance plans and coverage. We will verify your insurance and explain your benefits and financial responsibility before or on your first visit. For those patients without coverage options, discounted cash rates are available.
